My classmates and I were awarded second place at the congress of the Mexican Association of Members from Faculties and Schools of Nutrition. Here's the poster (Spanish) I presented together with my classmates. Here's the article (Spanish) that went together with the presentation.
About Me
Who am I? I'll try to briefly describe myself. I was a student at the Escuela de Dietetica y Nutricion in Mexico City. I studied nutrition, which means I'm very interested in how nutrients make our body work. In addition I love teaching and currently work giving Business English classes. I enjoy helping people learn by making my classes interesting and meaningful; the mind is a wonderful tool.
I read all kind of books,
but the genres I enjoy the most are science fiction (the Harry
Potter kind, not the Star-Trek) and novels. I also enjoy reading
science articles from Medical and Nutrition Journals. I enjoy a
wide variety of music from Lenny Kravitz, Aerosmith, and Shakira to The
Beatles. I like fine wine, good food (my brother besides being incredibly handsome is a great cook) and
sports. The kind of wine I like the most is made from the
grape "Merlot" (I took a Diploma Course in Enology, so I enjoy sampling
different wines). For my
work outs,
I mostly run or do ergometer
every day. I'm addicted
to endorphins.
My favorite book of all-time is El libro secreto de Grazia dei Rossi by Jaqueline
Park. Other favorites include:
Summer Sisters, by Judy Blume; Where the Heart Is, by Billie Letts;
Corazón, by Edmundo de Amicis; and Galileo's Daughter, by Dava Sobel.
I like going out, mainly to the movies, but I also like
to visit museums, theaters, or
to just hang out with my friends. My favorite movies
are "Dead Poet's Society" and "The Last Unicorn". I'm also a Star Wars fan.
Three things which I like and always put me in a good mood are
wine, chocolate and
sunflowers.
Well, I'm sure that was more than you wanted to know. But in case you
haven't fallen asleep, thanks for
reading this far. You might even want to send me an email
